Years Partnering with Foothills United Way: 20

CableLabs has tremendous executive support of our annual Foothills United Way campaign, including a corporate match of employee contributions. As a Cornerstone Program partner with Foothills United Way, CableLabs' ensures that the company match covers the administrative fees of the employee donations so the employees' contributions are directed as they choose.

CableLabs has a Community Works Committee that helps with the annual Foothills United Way campaign each year, in addition to other community projects. The committee helps to bring a fresh perspective to the United Way campaign each year, adding to the years of experience the campaign administrator has in running successful campaigns. CableLabs has kicked off recent campaigns with an agency fair paired with a chili cook-off, or in past years with an all staff meeting with agency speakers. To encourage participation in the campaign, participants are eligible to win daily prize drawings for gifts or gift certificates donated by local businesses and employees. Additionally, there is a grand prize drawing at the end of the campaign for larger prizes, including a Day Off Work. CableLabs uses E-Way for pledges, making the donation process easy and efficient for the employees as well as the campaign administrators.

CableLabs participates in the Foothills United Way Day of Caring annually; and have done everything from sewing projects to building a playground at a school. Employees at CableLabs appreciate the opportunity to lend a helping hand in the community and look forward to the Day of Caring project each year.
