Another Tremendous Success, and Another Record!

Our sincere, heartfelt thanks go out to the entire Boulder and Broomfield County community for it's support of Day of Caring 2009.  This year we had approximately 1013 volunteers turn out this year, sailing past last year's then-record amount of 940 volunteers. In all, the volunteers donated about 4,000 Hours worth of work to local non-profits and other organizations, with a dollar value of just over $82,000.

"It amazes me that on this day in 1998 we had 125 volunteers go out and complete projects and now, 11 years later, we have more than 10 times that amount," said Barbara Pingrey, President and CEO of Foothills United Way. "Working with such a large group of focused, dedicated volunteers is humbling. By each one reaching out a hand and a heart, our entire community has been influenced."
