LIVE UNITED 2010 Celebrates Successes, Collaborations, and Philanthropic Spirit
At Foothills United Way's inaugural LIVE UNITED event, LIVE UNITED 2010, the message was clear: Despite economic challenges, Boulder and Broomfield County individuals and businesses continue to be strong in their desires and efforts to create a stronger, thriving community.
LIVE UNITED 2010, held June 9th at the Byron White Stadium Club at Folsom Field, celebrated the collaborations, programs, initiatives and philanthropic spirit that are achieving success and changing lives in Boulder and Broomfield Counties. The event highlighted what has been done and mapped out the road ahead. University of Colorado Dean of Libraries and Foothills United Way Board Chair James F. Williams II gave the main address to attendees, thanking them for their service and spirit and encouraging all to continue to strive for change, expect results, and create unity.
LIVE UNITED 2010 also featured the awarding of Foothills United Way's Support of the Community and Spirit of the Community awards, and the BeBe Price Award for Community Service, given annually to a young person who exhibits excellence in volunteerism in our community.
Award winners were as follows:
- Support of the Community, Best Campaign Ambassador: Dianne Mutcher, Medtronic
- Support of the Community, Best New Campaign, under 50 employees - EKS&H
- Support of the Community, Best New Campaign, over 50 employees - Mountainside Medical
- Support of the Community, Best Campaign Committee - IBM Boulder
- Spirit of the Community, Partnership/Collaboration: Boulder County Human Services Strategic Plan
- Spirit of the Community, Individual: Carol Lathrop
- Corporate Spirit of the Community: Ball Corporation
- BeBe Price Award: Carly Hale, Longmont Meals on Wheels
